Mayflower Activity - (questions below)
Click here to Tour the Mayflower ship and answer the following questions:
1. What part of the ship did the pilgrims cook their food in?  What types of food did they eat while they were on their voyage?
2. How did the ship’s crew navigate the ship without radar and GPS like we have today?
3. How did the crew steer the ship right and left?
4. Did the pilgrims enjoy a comfortable voyage on the Mayflower?  Why or why not?

1. Where did the Mayflower leave from?  What date did it leave?
2. What terrible thing happened halfway through the voyage? 
3. Where did the Mayflower have to stop before sailing to Virginia?  What did the pilgrims do there?
4. How many days had the Mayflower been at sea when pilgrims finally landed in Plimoth?

Activities (pick one to do):
1. Draw a diagram of the Mayflower and the various rooms inside based on what you learned when you explored the Mayflower.
2. Make your own map with events of the Mayflower’s voyage.
3. Go to World Book (click here) online and look up the word “pilgrims.”  Read the article about pilgrims.  Pretend you are a pilgrim.  Write a diary entry about why you left England and how it was to travel on the Mayflower voyage.
